Spinal Masterclass cohort celebrating together after completing a course
Courses

Four progressive levels of Masterclass training.

Each level combines online webinar lectures with an in-person practical adjunct — hands-on technique work, live patient assessments and supervised clinical reasoning.

A blueprint to deliver specialised biomechanical spinal therapy training to postgraduate healthcare professionals.

The detailed online theory allows practitioners to do the courses in their own time, with a short intensive face-to-face workshop. The online webinars are prerecorded lectures with testing throughout, where practitioners have to achieve high pass marks to continue.

The practical course establishes the current level of hands-on skills and teaches manual therapy using the heel to mobilise stiff joints. The heel delivers greater mechanical force with less manual strain on the therapist, 'saving hands'. An understanding of the 5 stages of spinal breakdown is essential before completing the hands-on training.

The course could be valuable to new graduates or experienced professionals looking to improve their spine care.

It sets therapists apart from those who rely solely on exercises, education or pain management strategies. Significantly improving hands-on skills.

It may be useful for sports or rehab therapists dealing with athletic back injuries or spinal stiffness in a modified form.

As well as the theory of the five stages of spinal breakdown and the hands-on therapy, there is also a large number of exercises. These can be developed into a routine for patients to help with self-treatment using the back block routine. Hands-on therapy and a clearer understanding of the spine often result in better engagement with exercise programmes.

Courses offer opportunities to meet CPD requirements.
